It’s hard to put into words how special this newborn photography session was to me. Let me back up a few years. My friendship with this beautiful mother (isn’t she beautiful??) began in a 4 month Wiggleworms Music Class with my son, Campbell. My son is two months older than her oldest boy. Very early on, we bonded instantly over the wild ride that is motherhood. And we were both new to the game, so that made it even better. Needless to say, the opportunity to photograph this family made for one very happy Roscoe Village Newborn Photographer.
She’s one of these friends who you meet and get along with right out of the gate. She the type of friend who you feel like you’ve known for your entire life. We’ve been super fortunate to stay close over the years and our sons now attend the same school. This works out great for the boys and for us because we get to see each other every week!
So, now that you have some of the backstory, you can imagine how thrilled I was to have the opportunity to photograph this newborn. Another gorgeous baby boy came into the world, and I got to be their newborn photographer. It’s always so special to photograph a family who is also a dear friend. You start to learn their family dynamic and how they interact which helps to capture some of those quick and fleeting moments. I just love how this newborn session turned out, don’t you?
And to you, Wright Family, thank you for sharing this occasion with me, and for allowing me to grab these sweet photos of your new bundle of joy. I can’t wait to see your handsome boys grow and change over the years. It has been just fabulous getting to know your family, and I look forward to making many more memories in the years to come.
