So, the Harrisons just so happen to be some of our closest friends. It is always so much fun when I get to photograph friends. This pink skies Montrose Beach session was really enchanting and the subjects of the photos were the icing on the cake. You guys, I kid you not, it was 93 degrees in September for this shoot! (What?!) I made this precious family of four hike up sand dunes for about 15 minutes so that I could get to the “perfect spot,” and HELLO!! It was worth it, right?? Not only is this family super photogenic, but the sky – oh the sky!! Their gallery consisted of 100 pictures because I just couldn’t narrow them down. That gorgeous, stunning sky. These are some of my favorites to date.
If you can’t tell from the photos, let me tell you right here. This family is stunning and so much fun to be around. One of the perks of photographing friends is you get to be just a *litte* bit bossy. Let’s just say dad got some “direct” words of direction from me during this shoot. I can’t help it. It’s who I am. I may even remove your socks for you. (Okay, yes, I did touch my good friend’s husband’s feet. I’ll add it to my list of “Things I don’t care to do ever again.” Gross.)
Back to the session. The sky was perfect, and the family was perfect. Now, the kids. They really were perfect. These two are best buds and photographed so well together. The photos we got of the two of them together are timeless. I couldn’t have asked for more well mannered kids and the pictures turned out beautifully. I hope they maintain a close relationship as they grow up. These will be really sweet pictures to look back on.
Harrison family, thank you for allowing me to photograph this pink skies Montrose Beach session for you guys. I had so much fun with you all and you were a dream to work with. I’m glad the weather cooperated for us and the sky really showed off. I hope these photos fill your home and bring back beautiful memories for years to come.
