Holy smokes! I forgot how hard the 18-22 month age is for little boys. Well, not for the little boys, but for their poor parents!! This little gunner literally sprinted around the entire time during this session. I can’t imagine how hard he must crash at bedtime. I’d actually be interested to get a pedometer on this little guy to see how many miles he runs each day. My goodness, he was busy, but this Lincoln Park family session really turned out wonderfully.
Lincoln Park is the perfect location for a high-energy shoot like this. (Here’s another fun shoot I did in Lincoln Park with a family with little girls.) We had a great time letting him run around and getting photos of this fun little family of three. Bless these parents. You’d never know by the photos but they were sweating trying to chase him down and get some snuggles in. In fact, it took us breaking out his toy cars to finally catch a break for mom and dad and some semi-still photos of little man while he paused for a few seconds to play. (Thank goodness his mom had them in her bag – I guess this wasn’t her first rodeo, huh?). He is busy, busy, busy.
What a rewarding day. I came home absolutely exhausted but with such a full heart. These images perfectly capture what it is to have a boy at this age. You can see how enamored they are with their little guy, and how busy he keeps them. And just look at his handsome little toothy grin!! What a sweet little kiddo.
Placek family, thank you for choosing me for your Lincoln Park family session. What a fun day! I hope these pictures bring you sweet memories when you look back on them. You are such a lovely family, and it was a lot of fun to join you for the day. Enjoy every (exhausting) moment.
