If this little guy looks familiar, it may be because he made his debut on my blog back in July. Parker did a mini-session with me over the summer, and so I was thrilled when they asked me to do their family photos this fall. It was so much fun meeting back up with them. It was also a reminder of how fast kids grow and change. I just photographed Parker this summer and already he’s changed into more and more of a little boy. He’s so handsome.
We got lucky with a warm fall September day and chose a backdrop that combined nature and cityscape. Fall in the Windy City is a really beautiful backdrop for family photos. Lurie Gardens downtown is such a beautiful area. The english garden landscaping is some of my favorite to have in photographs. It gives really interesting textures, colors, and depth. And this family is just so sweet to top it all off.
The three of them are really fun to be around. You can tell that this little guy really lights up their life. It was great to watch them play and run around together, and to see how much he loves his mom and dad. Of course, I love any chance I can get to let the kiddos run free in water, and the fountain that day was the perfect opportunity to do just that. And man, did he have a hay day!! It was so cute, and such a good time!
McGrath family, thank you for spending a day this fall in the Windy City with me. I had a great time tagging along and grabbing some really priceless family photos of you guys. Parker is such a handsome little guy and clearly a friend to the camera. I hope you look back on these pictures with fondness for years to come.
