As a Chicago family photographer I often try to avoid the main parks around the city because they tend to be filled to the brim with people and make connecting hard as a family – especially with a little one. I met this lovely family at North Pond in Lincoln Park in Chicago for their family photography session. We choose the location, but on a Wednesday evening to avoid the crowds and get that gorgeous evening light. It was the first time I’ve been on the east side of the pond, and I have to say, it was one of my favorite spots! There was beautiful tall grass mixed with wild flowers that really made you feel like it was finally summer in the city. This little guy was just precious and I still can’t get over those beautiful blue eyes. He was such a handsome little man! Mom and dad were gorgeous too, and I loved capturing these real life moments for them. Updated family photographs are so important! They provide a ticket back in time to moments that would otherwise be gone forever. The love these three shared was so heartwarming and I walked away from our time together so full of joy. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed taking them!
